Welcome to SCAA!! Shanghai Cat, Dog & Pet Adoption

SCAA is a private, non-profit organization committed to protecting and improving the health and welfare of companion animals through education, health care, advocacy, outreach, adoption and the promotion of foster care as an alternative approach to traditional shelters. We believe it is the right of every companion animal to have a safe, healthy life in a loving home. Mission Statement, Policy Statement

SCAA is not an animal shelter!

There are no proper shelters in Shanghai. We do not have a physical address and we do not accept the physical delivery of animals. If you find an abandoned animal, it is your responsibility. We help with fostering and adoption on a case-by-case basis, depending on the resources we have available at the time. But if you rescue a stray animal, it is yours! Find out more.
