I Found An Animal

Pet AdoptionSCAA does not have a shelter.

SCAA cannot go pick up any stray or abandoned animal you found.

We depend on volunteers to provide a safe home for rescued animals, on donations to fund or subsidize Western-standard veterinary care and we screen potential adoptive parents to find good permanent homes.

If you decide to pick up an animal, it is your responsibility.  The level of assistance that SCAA can provide to you and your rescued animal depends on:

  1. whether you have found a cat or a dog; and
  2. the animal's overall medical condition and social temperament; and
  3. the resources we have available at the time

If you found an animal, are you prepared to adjust your lifestyle accordingly, even if it’s for a short time?  Are you prepared to contribute towards that animal’s medical care?

If yes, please read SCAA’s rescue cat and dog re-homing policies (links below) and email us for more details.
